Prestine Technics 1210 & mixer - Come boxed -

I have the following for sale X2 Technics 1210 MK2 turntables X2 Technics Original Headshells X2 Stanton 500 cartridges and Stylus’s X2 Technics Original slipmats X2 Ortofon DJ cartridges NO Stylus’s X1 Behringer VMX100 2 channel mixer All power leads and phono cables to make the above work Firstly, these 1210’s are in fantastic condition and really must be seen. None of the button marking has been worn away, the covers and hinges are present and in great condition although there is some very light marking to the top of the covers. Picture makes it out worse than it is. Overall though I they are in astonishing condition. It’s difficult for me to describe just how good they are. I have seen many 1210 turntables and these are by far the best. I even have the original boxing and guarantee for these 1210’s They function perfectly. Pitch, platter tempo change and on / off switch gear function correctly and with rifle bolt precession - no notchyness as can be sometimes the case. The levers to lift the tonearm, adjust the height of the tonearm and to lock out this movement again work correctly. As is consistent with the mechanic workings they are aesthetically beautiful too. No chips, marks, ingrained beer or anything else. Just the high quality original finish of a premium technics product. The same cannot be said for the 500 cartridges – these need replacing as they are past their best. I did replaced them with the blue Ortofons DJ’s but the stylus for these are not included only the concorde bit as per the pictures. Ideally you need to replace just the stylus for the Ortofons – the stylus can be purchases brand new for circa 30.00 and come highly recommended. Of course you could also replace the stylus’s of the 500 cartridges at lower cost. Link here. Like most things you get what you pay for. The Behringer mixer is an entry level affair but functions correctly. All faders, LED’s, switches and dials work fine. There are no unsavoury cross fader or channel level noises. It is in good shape too with no damage that I can see. Ideal to get you up and running or, if like me, you prefer your mixers simple. If you’ve got a mixer already keep this as a backup or sell it! In summary then, this is an opportunity for a pair of the legendary mk2 1210 technics turntables. They are no longer making these as of 2010 and I’m not aware of any manufacturer having made or current making turntables to this standard of workmanship that are up to the requirements of a DJ. Given their following and cult status I would be amazed if they don’t increase in value significantly in the coming years. Especially mint original examples such as mine.
